Banishing all the worries..

I recently had some conversation with my sister - one of the participants that join the programme which handled by my alumni and at the same time I had been responsibled as a caretaker of the group ‘ adik kasih 4’.. Not much we discuss, around the things that happened recent month..and the point that attracted me is that the things that she asked for my help in settling her problems bout studies..what a sister!.. I know that at the age of 13 maybe a girl still seeking for a guidance and a model to follow.. and I know, I should play that part to lighten her worry ( even I wasn’t the best)..Finally, I recalled some formula worked out by Wills H. Carrier, brilliant engineer who headed world famous Carrier Corporation through a book written by Dale Carnegie..To me, anyone can use it, and it consists of three steps:
- step 1: Just analyzed the situation fearless and honestly and figured out what was the worst that could possibly happen as a result of the failure. If we’re a student that sits for SPM, probably we would lose a chance to further study in higher institutions if we failed to score a good results..
- Step 2: After figuring out what was the worst that could possibly happen, just reconciled ourselves to accepting it, if necessary.
- Step 3 : From that time on, calmly devoted our time and energy to trying to improve upon the worst which we had already accepted mentally.

Frankly to me, if we kept worrying, it will lead to harm. As one of the worst features about worrying is that it destroys our ability to concentrate. When we worry, our minds jump here and there and everywhere, and we’ll lose all power of decision. However, when we force to face the worst and accept it mentally, we then eliminate all these vague imaginings and put ourselves in a position in which we’r able to concentrate on our problem.. Anyhow, what attracting me in dealing worry is that back to our faith. I much more interested in what religion does for me. It brings me spiritual values. It gives me faith, hope, and courage. It banishes tensions, anxieties, fears and worries. It gives me purpose to my life- and direction.. Thank you Allah for the gift of Islam..and to my 'adik-adik kasih'.. kakak miss u all.. may this ukhuwah remains forever.. I'll always be a sister for you..
